About
Dr. Joanna Lamberts is a family dentist practicing in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She works alongside Dr. Michael Nanne, Dr. John Fabbro and a team of friendly and helpful dental assistants, hygienists and front desk staff. Dr. Lamberts’ core philosophy is “comfortable dentistry”. She takes a special interest in working with patients with various disabilities, hospital cases, individuals with high anxiety, and families or individuals who face severe challenges to dental care. She’s also committed to teaching parents and their children about oral hygiene and helping them create positive first experiences with the dentist. Her goal is to empower you to make the best decisions about dental care for you and your family. She is able to offer services in French and English and is excited about taking on new patients.
Dr. Joanna Lamberts
Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Dr. Joanna Lamberts is thrilled to have the opportunity to return home to practice dentistry. Dr. Lamberts is a highly respected local dentist who received her DMD from McGill University in 2012. While training with McGill’s esteemed faculty, she received The Dr. James McCutcheon Medal (2012), The Academy of General Dentistry Award (2012) and the Dr. Leanore K. Fine Award (2011, 2012) for her outstanding performance, commitment, and leadership.
One of the first things you’ll learn about Dr. Lamberts is how committed she is to welcoming you into her dental family. She is grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside her uncle, Dr Michael Nanne who has been a mentor to her long before dentistry was on her horizon. She also works in the same building as her sister Dr. Bridget Lamberts, a periodontist which allows them to collaborate on complex cases. Dr. Lamberts is passionate about people and their oral health and is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure you have a positive and enjoyable dental experience.
Joanna prides herself on being part of the community. Currently, Dr. Lamberts keeps busy as Vice-President of the Sault Ste. Marie and District Dental Society, as a member of STRIVE young professional group, as a mentor in the McGill University Faculty of Dentistry Mentorship Course and as a Soo Greyhounds hockey club on-call dentist.
Like any true Northerner, Joanna enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Osler, at camp. She has also received her Yoga Teacher Training certificate and is currently teaching at Sault Hot Yoga.
Dr. Michael Nanne
Dr. Michael Nanne graduated from McGill in 1972 and after a few years working in Minnesota, returned to Sault Ste. Marie to set up his private practice. In the past 40 years, Dr. Nanne has dedicated himself to his patients, his dental practice and his community. Dr. Nanne continues to be involved in a number of organizations including the Ontario Dental Association and the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club.
Dr. John Fabbro
Dr John Fabbro graduated from the University of Western Ontario Dental School in 1988. As a native of Sault Ste Marie, Dr Fabbro has practised dentistry in his home town since his graduation.
Dr Fabbro enjoys all aspects of the practice of dentistry, including treating children, restoring teeth to proper function through the use of all available treatments (root canal treatment, implants, white fillings,
bridges, etc) and treating our seniors.
Dr Fabbro is involved in our community in many aspects, including coaching minor hockey, volunteering with the Heart and Stoke Association, the Ontario Dental Association and other aspects of our community.
Dr Fabbro is excited that Dr Lamberts is joining our dental group.
